The annual Morningstar Taiwan Fund Awards recognise retail funds that have added the most value for investors within the context of their relevant peer group in 2020 and over longer time periods.
Morningstar selects the winners using a quantitative methodology, along with a qualitative overlay. Weightings to one-, three-, and five-year risk-adjusted performance are factored into the methodology.
“After a year of exceptional market performance, global financial markets are increasingly pricing in a strong economic rebound this year. Combined with an elevated risk appetite, investors are advised to be mindful of stretched asset valuations and risk of a market pullback. This year’s winners demonstrated their abilities to navigate through turbulent times and delivered competitive long-term results for investors,” said Wing Chan, Morningstar’s Director of Manager Research Practice.
